Microsoft is releasing its own Windows File Recovery tool, which is designed to recover files that you deleted.
Windows File Recovery is a command line app that recovers a variety of files and documents from cameras from local hard drives, USB drives, and even SD cards. however Recovery of files is not supported on cloud storage or network file shares, .
Like any file recovery tool, you'll need to use it on deleted files as soon as possible to make sure they 're not overwritten. You'll be able to retrieve MP3 files, MP4 videos, PDF documents, JPEG images and typical Word , Excel, and PowerPoint documents using the new tool from Microsoft.

switching to Sai2 has been a godsend because it has a REALLY NICE file recovery system that has saved me several times now
Microsoft's file recovery tool has a default mode especially designed for NTFS file systems. It will recover files from a corrupted disk, or after a disk has been formatted.
A second signature mode is probably the most popular option, enabling users to recover specific types of files across FAT, exFAT, and ReFS file systems. This signature mode may take longer to recover files, too.
Windows File Recovery is a useful tool for anyone who has accidentally deleted an important document, or mistakenly wiped a drive. Microsoft already provides a Windows 10 Previous Versions feature that allows you to recover documents that you may have deleted, but you need to specifically enable this by using a default disabled File History feature.
