In Sam Raimi 's original Spider Man Trilogy, the 65-year-old actor was famous for playing Jameson, the Spider Man-hated editor in head of Daily Bugle.

In an interview with People TV on video chat, Simmons said that it is not the contractual obligation to include his character as a repeat presence that the actor questioned whether fans of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) can expect Jameson 's future film.

"Whether I would use 'expect,' I do not know. We signed a contract to make two sequences when we signed the first movie, "Simmons said.

"This is always a one-sided contract, well, not always, in my case, a one-sided one, where you commit yourself, but you do not necessarily have to use your personality in the films to come. It was great to be able to become one of the holdovers of the previous version as these things develop, "he said.

Simmons remembered the audition for Raimi's first Spider-Man film, in which the producers were convinced by a "old school, classic camera trial."

"The Sony producers and the people needed to be persuaded, because there were obviously so many more prominent actors in mind that could help the box office. It is been very nervous.

Simons took over the role and expressed Jameson in various animated shows as "Avengers: Earth's most powerful heroes," "Ultimate Spider-man." After his successful work in the trilogy.

He came back to the MCU using 'Far From Home.' In this scene he shares Mysterio's doctored footage in New York City, accusing him of his drone attack against London while exposed the identity of Peter Parker.

Tom Holland 's third autonomous film, Spider-Man, is to release on 5 November 2021. Superhero is planned. The Disney-Marvel / Sony project production is still in production, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
