Halo Infinite is going to be a launch game for Xbox Series X but we haven't seen any gameplay footage from it yet. When we learned that Xbox would showcase the system's first-party titles in an upcoming July Xbox 20/20 presentation, we assumed Halo Infinite would be one of them - and now we've got official confirmation.

Developer 343 Industries states in the latest post on Halo Waypoint that we'll see more of the game during the coming stream. "You might have seen people talk about this slightly before, but we're extremely excited to confirm that Halo Infinite will be one of many first-party titles included in July's Xbox 20/20 event," the post reads.

In thesse words, there is no actual confirmation that we will definitely see gameplay footage here, of course, but it seems inevitable, even though the first Xbox 20/20 showcase did not deliver as promised on that front.

For this July presentation there is no specific date, but the first one took place on May 7 and included a mix of new game revelations and port announcements.

Before the end of 2020, Halo Infinite will come to Xbox One and PC too. Hopefully the recent claim by Aaron Greenberg that 343 Industries are "cooking up some fire" is proving accurate.
